From a Mother’s Heart
Half of my family was wiped out in a horrific accident on the way back from the hilula in Meron. In one devastating moment, I lost my husband and two of my children.
I was left alone to raise four yesomim at home — four young children who suddenly had no father.
This Sunday, my son Shimon, who was too young to come along to Meron that day, will stand under the chuppah. He is one of the four yesomim I raised entirely on my own.
There is no father to walk him to the chuppah. And after seventeen years of carrying every responsibility alone, I no longer have the means to make this wedding with dignity.
With humility, I am turning to you. Your support will allow me to marry off my son without fear or shame, and to help him begin his life with peace of mind.
כָּל הַמְשַׂמֵּחַ אֶת שֶׁלִּי — אֲנִי מְשַׂמֵּחַ אֶת שֶׁלּוֹ.
The chassan and I will, בל״נ, daven for you on the day of the chuppah and throughout the days of the Sheva Brachos.
