I lost my mother when I was six years old. She went to America for medical treatment and never came home. A few years later, my father got Parkinson's and I watched him slowly fade away until he was niftar too. I became a yosom gamur no father, no mother, no home. I was passed between families with no one to guide me, no stability, no safety net. But b'chasdei Hashem, I kept going.
Now I'm getting married and I have no father to walk me to the chuppah, no mother to stand beside me, and no one to help me financially. I don't have parents to make me a chasuna or family to help me build a home. I'm standing at the door of my new life completely alone.
Help me walk into my chasuna b'kavod. You will be my family.
I will bl"n daven for every person who helps me from the deepest place in my heart, thank you.
I will bl"n daven on the day of my chuppah for whoever donates 72 or more.
